Tongabezi (& Sindabezi Island)

Privately owned and run, Tongabezi was the first river lodge on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls. The Lodge was established in 1990 with the emphasis on exclusivity and romance and to this day it is still a very unique place to be. The four open fronted luxury thatched houses, known as the Bird House, Tree House, Honeymoon House and Dog House are exclusively upmarket and each have their own valet who will look after you throughout your stay. Each house features a huge king-size bed, sweeping views and an open-air sunken bath where you can unwind to the serenades of an African evening. In addition, there are five River Cottages and one Garden Cottage which is perfect for families. Fine cuisine and a pool built into the rocks complete the picture.
